Can you help?

As you are probably aware, the unfolding tragedies of nature at work in  Central and South-East Queensland and soon the north of New South Wales in the form of relentless floodwaters are affecting over 1/3 or our state.  This is truly horrific and one of the greatest flood disasters we have seen in Australia in our history.   It is affecting thousands of people, including my family and friends, my blogging friends and is happening in places where I have lived in the past 25 years….it is tearing away at my heart to see the pain it is causing.  I , like others, have been thinking about what we, in the blogging community can do to help….. Please consider joining me in supporting the Gum Tree Nutters who have joined forces to  help those crafters who will be needing a new start. Please visit them here to see how we can help our fellow crafty (generally) girls who are going to need our support, especially after the floodwaters subside and reality strikes….it is comforting to know, in our own little way, that our craft can help them through this devastating tragedy. Jenny is also auctioning two of her original handmade Shabby Roses quilts to raise funds for the Flood Appeal. You can see the details HERE on her blog.   Please know that to those of my blogging friends that are affected, my thoughts and prayers are with you and I hope you are safe and well. Hugs and blessings always, sweet friends XXX Wendy

Hi Wendy, I hope you and your family are keeping safe and dry. It is tough times for queensland. I am going to try to make a couple of sewing kits for the "nutters".
