Teeny Treasures

006 A special delivery for a special little bundle….  004mag005009 (1280x960) This is a Cinderberry Stitches pattern by Natalie Lymer called “Once Upon a Time” which was featured in the Kids Issue of Homespun….issue number 89 (Vol 11 no 10) if you’re interested in making it for a teeny treasure!!!!!  I made it for a work colleague’s first born and I used fabric from the Zippedy Doo Dah range by Sandy Gervais for Moda which I love…….I don’t think l’il Riley will grow out of it too soon!   As well as that, I’ve been working on keeping my BOM’s up to date….I was already behind with this one… Birdie Stitches Free BOM 2011 until this yummy lot arrived on Friday….. 002 ….which I’ve quickly turned into this…. 010 I’ve never stitched with 6 strands of floss before but I really like the effect it has. 013 011 These little critters are just too cute!!!….I can’t wait for block 2 to come!!!!! And now the rain’s starting to subside (for the time being!   Our wet season hasn’t REALLY started yet!!!!), we’ve been able to get out into the garden for a look for little garden treasures that have grown with all the goodness the good earth has provided….. ….and I found this…… 004 Our very own pineapple that has grown from a pineapple top I cut off and stuck in the ground…..it’s as easy as that up here in the tropical north!!! More teeny treasures….. 019 …..no….take a closer look…… frog highlight ….there he is!   These little green frogs are popping up everywhere….. 022 on rocks, 028 on roses, 026027 and on MORE roses! We’re even getting different varieties…. I found this little Barra Frog hiding in the grass…. 024025 look how teeny he is when he’s compared to a blade of grass!! and everything’s starting to bloom again….. 006 008016 ………..everywhere!!!! 010011   It’s so easy to be thankful when you take a look around! --sponsored--heartplant_tc What teeny treasures will you find this week? Sugary hugs XX Wendy  :0)

Your blocks look great! I love the project by Natalie Lymer, and the new BOM is gorgeous too. I'd love to do both - do think I could get an extra few hours in each day?
Your garden look like it loved all that rain. We are copping it at the moment!

What a darling little quilt! I love her designs. Your birdy block came out lovely, I'm not sure if I'll use six strands - was it difficult to pull through the fabric? Your garden looks AMAZING, my boys would love all those frogs, lol!
