A disastrous FNSI ….

It didn’t go to plan like I’d expected it to last night……. Dinner I’d put in the slow cooker earlier on in the day was ruined by some dodgy wine I’d used, so by the time it got to the plate and began eating it……it went straight to the bin……it was DIS-GUST-ING!!!  (I can’t even show you…..I’m embarrassed!!! )   I should follow Masterchef rules – although I did season, I didn’t taste!     I must admit, that hasn’t happened in a long long time……so hubby had to order some take away steak and salads from the local tavern……dinner was at 8pm as opposed to 6pm …. and after one cider whilst I was waiting…..hmmmmm….FNSI was a bit of a flop for me!!! hee hee I did a big catch up in the afternoon of sending out all my swap parcels……so FQ swap girls….and birthday club girls…….watch out for the parcels coming your way soon….. 017 (Medium) I also got Cheryll’s Birthday-Love in the mail to her….I knew she’s been away…..long long away in some foreign country….lucky duck!!!!, so I didn’t want her parcel sitting there lonely, by itself, in her letterbox, for too long….so it’s on it’s way now too   !!!!   (the big white envelope above if you’re looking for it Cheryll! *wink*) 016 (Medium) Then after the dinner debacle….. I did manage to compose myself enough to get my fabric ready for a fabric dyeing workshop using Procien Dyes I’m going to today……the fabric had been washed and flapping on the line (I’m using 100% cotton broadcloth so we’ll see how that goes)…….so it was pressed, and cut into FQs….. 018 (Medium) and folded…… 019 (Medium) and put ready with an old towel and ice cream bucket ready and waiting to ‘chameleon-ise’ today!!!!  I can’t wait!   020 (Medium) Let’s hope I have more success today! Hope your FNSI was more productive than mine!?! sugary hugs xox :o) my signature

Sounds like you had a pretty productive FNSI to me.. all thing considered. Personally... I'd kill for a steak and salad cooked by someone else oh... and the cider too.. hic! :o) Hope you have a great day experimenting with dyes... Hugs

Sounds really productive to me. Can't wait to see what your dyed fabbie looks like. Lucky for me DD cooked dinner last night - so I got a bit done on my Lavender Fairy.

LOL about your dinner, I planned a crock pot dinner last night too, and headed off to town in the morning, forgetting to even put in and turn it on!! Wasn't as organised as I thought I'd be! You still got plenty done, have fun with your dyeing today.

You win some and you lose some - but like everyone else, I think you accomplished a great deal. Cutting fabric takes a bit of time to do correctly. And you had a back up plan - at least hubby did :) Hope you had a good time playing with your dyes :)

Ooh how fun a dye workshop, reminds me I really should do something with the fur I dyed like @#$@ years ago.
Sorry about your dinner, but that preparation needed to be done so good on you for getting in there.
Thanks for hosting.

I got all of 1 block completed, but I'm calling it a win. (See here) for details.

Oh, and I did watch 2 episodes of Broadchurch, so there's that.
