Good news and FNSI reminders

Yesterday was quite a stressful day for all of us but thanks to a very skilled surgeon and all your prayers and well wishes, everything went well.
Dad's (father in law's) surgery was at 7.45 am and he was back in the room about 2pm after 2 1/2 hours in surgery to remove the kidney and a good while in recovery. We didn't know much yesterday as he slept all the time we were there (the aesthetic I expect) but the doctor came today and told us it went beautifully alrhough there were a couple of 'hairy' instances.

We still don't know much about the results till pathology comes back but the doctor was very happy and impressed to see this same weak, frail looking man almost jogging around the floor today!
Looks a totally different man, don't you agree!  As for us, we'll be taking him home Saturday morning....woohooooo.... So only a short stint this time.  Friday night will be spent stitching happily with you all in our motel room.  Remember to sign up for FNSI  if you haven't already done so....we've got lots to celebrate!

Love, thanks and sugary hugs xox

Wonderful to see your FiL up and moving around already :-) it's must be such a relief to you all that the surgeon is so pleased with how the surgery went. ( I have 'fond' memories of those white stockings ! Lol)

Wow, what an amazing difference! I'm so pleased for all of you! Now you can enjoy FNSI with a clear and happy mind. =) I'm slow to notice things, but I see your blog is different. It looks good, though I liked it before, too.

Surgery sure is amazing but it also helps to have a positive, eager and willing patient. Great to see him doing so well.
