Ok….one UFO off my list….. here she is…..my ‘Tickled Pink’ cushion I told you about in my last post. Very nice to have something ‘girly’ in a house full of males! Honestly, I’m tickled pink!  But why does it always take so long to get around to them??? (UFO’s I mean!) Hope you had a finish over the weekend! Sugary hugs xox :o)

Tickled Pink

I decided to pull out this UFO yesterday and finish ‘something’ in my pile. rather than start new things….a plan I’ve been working on (very ineffectively) for ‘quite some time’! This one started in a Colourque workshop with Helen Stubbings back in 2008……..a cushion called “Tickled Pink”, that’s what it’s making me feel as I see it come together at last…. Yesterday I played with the buttonhole attachment on my machine…. ..and did a little bit of hand quilting embellishment…. …a bit more today ( I LOVE my Frixion pens)…. …then sew on the frilly pink Robyn Pandolph loveliness…. and I’ll be totally Tickled Pink by the end of the day! Tickled Pink

I decided to pull out this UFO yesterday and finish ‘something’ in my pile. rather than start new things….a plan I’ve been working on (very ineffectively) for ‘quite some time’!

…then sew on the frilly pink Robyn Pandolph loveliness….

and I’ll be totally Tickled Pink by the end of the day!

Happiness is….

This has been a loooong time coming and so Happiness is……….??!!!  This wall hanging started out as some lucky purchases I stumbled upon last year at my local charity store.  I had  seen some mini kits for each of the stitcheries and thought, I can’t live without these at $1 each, so of course, they came home with me to live in the K.A.R.T.S drawer, forever and ever, AMEN!  But, I found my will, and started stitching them up, one by one, during the year. and they were coming out pretty nicely, which spurred me on…. …and with a few design touches of my own…… …..and some hand quilting…. this li’l ol’ UFO is now finished!!!!!! Yep……another finish for OPAM, finished earlier this month, and slack ol’ me only posted now but it’s a finish nonetheless……..that IS what Happiness is!!!!! Sugary Hugs :o) xox

Friday night with Friends….and some

I”m a bit late in posting but it’s been one of those weekends that just disappear before your eyes!!!  You know the ones I mean??? Here’s what I got up to on Friday night….. a little bit of designing for the July BOM block for Sew It’s Finished, and the next block in the North Pole QAL…the Elves Bunkhouse…… as well as….. block 1 in the Aiming for Accuracy QAL…… Saturday was Quilt Guild day so I took this UFO….. and did this……. (can you see the quilting design drawn on the borders using my Frixion disappearing ink pen???) …..and I’ve since done some of this…. ….my first ever go at hand quilting! And today I even managed to finish these …… ….some sneakies for the Birthday-Love Stash. All in all, a very productive weekend!! I still have a surprise to announce very soon……but there’s nothing like a little bit of antici………………………………….pation is there??? *wink* Sugary hugs xox :O)
