Some quilty fun

Last weekend I took a break from working at our quilt show to go and play ladies here with these fun girls….. 132 Yes, it’s Rosalie Quinlan, Melanie Hurlston and Leanne Beasley, and boy, did we learn a thing or two!!!!  These gals are just gorgeous and I love it when they come up to the sunny north each year to share their lovelies with us. We arrived to find a goody bag for each of us, filled to the brim with lovely patterns for projects to try for the day and threads and fabric and other yummy stuff. 113 114 The beginning of the day started with Tracey introducing each of the gals and each of them sharing their project for the day with us. 101 Melly had a lovely design for a clutch bag, 102 103 Rosie had a sewing bag and pincushion design 104 105 and Leanne had a sewing companion in a purely Leanne-kinda-style! Inside…………107 and outside………… 108 We got to see lots of their simply gorgeous things…. 130 127 110 …and despite not winning ANY of the raffle prizes (surprise, surprise!!!), I did manage to take home one of these glamorous table centres that is now sitting proudly on my dining room table……thank you so much Tracey….looks like it was just meant to be there!!! 111(notice how Tracey looked after us with all the “energy food” LOL…M&M’s rule) And which project did I choose to start on??? 015 014 Now this weekend is the Burdekin’s Uniting Church Craft Spectacular so who’s going to be a busy chicky tomorrow???? hehehe Hope you’ve got lotsa crafty business happening this weekend too! big sugary hugs XXX Wendy :O)
