Friends, swaps and an upcoming competition!

Although my birthday was at the end of May, I have still been getting lovely little surprises…..and some rather large ones!!!….  My friend Lynette, made me this block keeper….Isn’t it beautiful???  If you click on it, you may be able to enlarge it a bit to see, but if you can’t, the stitchery in the middle says…”The pathway to a friend’s house is never very long”…….I will treasure this, always!!!!  xoxoxo 001 (Medium)And she wrapped it in this gorgeous fabric too…which definitely won’t go astray! 006 (Medium) Mr Postie bought me a parcel from the lovely Fee as I’d ordered some fabric from her website and inside, as well as the stunning fabric, were these birthday treats… 004 (Medium) 015 (Medium) There are some super super yummy recipes in Grandma’s special recipe book too…..oooh, I can see my exercise bike getting a workout!!!!  I love the smell of lavender too that wafted out of the parcel…can you see the little sachet Fee made…..very Francois!!!!! …oui oui!   I love ALL my goodies, they’re just beautiful Fee…..you are one special gal….thank you ….. *mwah* cupcake-border I’ve participated in a couple of Christmas in July swaps….firstly, the Fat Quarter Swap… my partner was Raelene this month… so I sent her some very festive FQs with some cute little snowflake buttons…… 003 (Medium) …and Raelene sent me these gorgeous ones in return…..with a cute little iron-on Santa patch….oooh, the thought-wheels are spinning already!!!!013 (Medium) Secondly, there was the mug rug swap.  I showed you the mug rug I received from Leena in the last post, but I didn’t get to show you the one I sent, well, ok….I gave you a sneaky peek…..but I DID want to keep it a surprise for her as long as I could, so here ‘tis… 001 (Medium) (2) …a place for the mug, a place for something sweet and some hot Choco-latte to get her in the mood!!!!  bells-border-hth A while back I took part in Clare’s pincushion swap and sent this to my partner, Rebekah 144 (Medium) and her one arrived in the mail today!  Isn’t it sooo sweet???  Lovin’ ‘them’ strawberries!!!!   Thanks Beck and Clare……was loads of fun! 012 (Medium) pinbar Finally, I have a little competition just around the corner, so get yourselves prepared!!!  My wonderful DS and I are heading off on a little roadie tomorrow bright and early…..a quick trip flying down to the Gold Coast to visit my big bro, pick up his old ute we bought off him and bring the ‘new’ little addition into our family!  It’s going to be a long haul…..it’s about a 17 hour drive and we’re planning to be back by Friday so keep us in your thoughts and prayers and I’ll get back to you when we return with more details! http://www.comicvine.com/archiesjallopypep25/105-1338187/ have a wonderful week….I’ll be thinking of ya!
